I've seen the no-chicken broth at Whole Foods, and wondered if it was worth a try. I may give that a go next time I'm making soup, because in general I prefer the taste of chicken broth to vegetable broth, but especially when I'm making vegetable soup, it doesn't really make sense to introduce an animal product.
